NIGHTHAWKS / BIRDIE

Nighthawks is a post modern take on the urban American diner.  Inspired by Edward Hopper's Nighthawks painting, Executive Chef, Landon Schoenefeld wanted a neighborhood bar/diner with an accessible bar and an open, interactive dining counter that can serve as a community gathering space.  Using the Edward Hopper's Nighthawks painting to establish the general feel and palette, the existing space itself was taken into consideration.  By exposing the old brick walls and filling imperfections in the floor with obvious patches, the space has textural richness and feels like it has a story to tell.  

Birdie, by day a functioning, busy prep space, transforms to a 14 seat, multi-course chef's table venue on weekend evenings.
